At Wild Roots, we believe there’s no such thing as a black thumb! In this workshop, we’ll show you how to establish a “jungle journal” to track your houseplants and build a sustainable plant parenting routine. You’ll learn the basics of houseplant care, and we’ll provide you with tailored journal layouts to help integrate plant care into your regular schedule in a way that works just for you. This class is great for both the new plant parent and the more established horticultural enthusiast who wants to add structure and inspiration to their routine. Green thumbs for everyone!

What is included in the workshop:

-An introduction to the flexible “bullet journal” format for tracking progress and taking notes, presented by Alicia Geigel. You will go home with a packet of layouts for monthly, weekly, and daily organization, as well as specific plant trackers.

-Plant Care 101, by shop owner Amanda Hill. You will learn how to: assess the lighting in your house; choose the right plants for your lighting; properly water and fertilize your plants; repot your plants with the proper soil; prevent and treat common pests, and more

-A small plant to take home, a Blackwing pencil, and a Micron pen

-Wine/beverages and light snacks

Please note: Journals are not required, but we will have the classic Leuchtturm1917 bullet journal for sale in a variety of colors. Feel free to use your own!
