Launching and Running a Food Business

The South Shore SBDC is sponsoring a FoodLab Chicago by-product series for entrepreneurs initiating their restaurant journey. The virtual learning experience is designed to foster aspiring restaurant owners through the process of starting, launching and maintaining their businesses. The curriculum provides participants with a healthy framework of successful business practices prior to them starting their venture. This will provide them with a headstart in properly preparing for a restaurant to launch and scale up. The course layout is similar to a mini series unfolding in a six week timeframe. The capacity for the program is between 15-20 participants. Once they complete and establish their restaurants, they can transition into the advanced FoodLab Chicago program.
