Leadership Bootcamp for Parents

Description

This workshop aims to help participants learn practical and actionable strategies to help develop leadership skills, increase engagement and empowerment, and achieve success.

Milton Ray III is the principal of North Gulfport Elementary and Middle School. He previously served as principal of Crossroads Elementary School and assistant principal of North Gulfport Middle School. Milton has dedicated 20 years to education as an Algebra teacher, Physical Education teacher, track coach, and head varsity basketball coach at several high schools.

Milton is a University of Mississippi Principal Corps alumnus. He has been selected to participate in the 2022-2023 CEO Leadership Academy. He was named Teacher of the Year twice during his teaching tenure. Milton received a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi. He received a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Science from Mississippi Valley State University. Milton was selected as a 2015-16 North/South All-Star Basketball Coach. Additionally, he was a recipient of the Farm Bureau Coach of the Year award.

Chaqueta Weston-Ray is an entrepreneur, business consultant, career coach, and speaker. With a multi-industry background, she brings 20 years of experience and expertise in technology, business, education, and real estate investing. Chaqueta is the Co-Founder of Empower Your Leadership. She is also Co-Founder of the non-profit, Code Genius.

Chaqueta was fortunate to begin her career with Walmart Inc. as a systems computer programmer. She has served as an Adjunct Instructor for several universities and community colleges over the years. Chaqueta received her bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Mississippi. She also received an MBA from Webster University. Chaqueta received an Award of Distinction from the University of Mississippi and the Information Systems Star Team Member Award from Walmart, Inc.
