Lived Experience Over Lunch: LE PhD Showcase

Description

Ever wondered how lived experience research takes place, what happens when risk eventuates into an adverse incident, and what lived experience can do in the research world? Join us for a presentation and Q&A from three PhD researchers undertaking different research projects related to lived experience of suicide, and moderated by Associate Professor Michelle Banfield from the ANU. Our three researchers bring amongst them both perspectives of being a researcher with and without lived experience, working on topics directly relevant to people with lived experience of suicide.

Hear about the work of PhD candidates:

  • Luke Bayliss: Conducting research with suicide attempt survivors
  • Martina McGrath: Understanding disclosure of mental health or suicide concerns in workplaces
  • Hayley Purdon: Lived experience engagement in suicide prevention

Bring your lunch (or mid-morning snack for our Western Australian friends!) and let's start a conversation about lived experience in research.
