In just three years, ARTEMIS has become one of the premier jazz groups in the world. They've been featured in Vanity Fair and on NPR’s Jazz Night in America, and have performed on some of the country’s most iconic stages including Carnegie Hall and Newport Jazz Festival. Pianist Renee Rosnes, "chose musicians whom I respected and wanted to make music with,” for a European festival tour. “And after performing together," she recalls, "I realized that we had a brilliant chemistry. We decided to explore the possibilities of what might develop over time. That’s how ARTEMIS was born.” Artemis is comprised of pianist and musical director Renee Rosnes, trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, alto saxophonist and flautist Alexa Tarantino, tenor saxophonist Nicole Glover, bassist Noriko Ueda, and drummer Allison Miller.
