I'm not a guru, but I've been practicing mindfulness for more than ten years, and it has benefited me in immeasurable ways, not the least of which has been to live a happier, healthier life.
Through mindfulness, I learned how to reduce the stress brought upon by everyday events, including COVID-19 and current headlines. Whether it's work, school, or home, challenges can arise that cloud our minds and cause anxiety. Learning how to handle these stressors can improve our ability to answer them in a calm, reasoned, less emotional way. Not only can it benefit us as individuals, but those around us, helping to enhance our relationships with family, friends and colleagues.
