MAUI MEN’S CIRCLE KANE ALAKA’I

Description

Kane Alaka'i is men taking leadership for life with support and accountability by other men, by sharing tools and learning from elders and brothers. Grounded in nature, guided by culture.

The Intention: Gather, Explore, Deepen

We are gathering as men to explore what is within and deepen our connections and intentions to ourselves, our partners, our family, our calling, life’s work and island community.

What to expect?

Traditionally, historically and in our ancient tribal ways, men would gather around the fire, in hunting parties, fishing expeditions, and rights of passage. In these circles young and old would be able to share knowledge and provide support.

In these times of challenge, change, and disconnection we seek to reverse the trend and build connections, face change, and challenge ourselves to grow and become our best selves. Grounded in nature, guided by culture, navigating the waters with integrity, accountability, and support.

The Kane Alaka’ina will be co-hosted by Leiven Hwang, Jesse Keaweluaole and Naim Ferguson. Uncle Kimokeo will be our Kumu (when available). The 1.5 hour event will consist of ceremony, water blessing, movement and reflection. We will have breakout circles with smaller groups and time to reflect, share and be supported.

Our intention is to hold this circle monthly, at the first Sunday of every month. Please visit this page and follow our IG or FB for notices.

Please join us so we can perpetuate more connection and be the change we seek in our world.
