Description: Providing clinical supervision is a unique opportunity to contribute to the field of clinical service delivery. It can be a very rewarding activity, but comes with significant responsibility. This training will help you identify your strengths and challenges in the supervisory relationship while providing you with practical applications to enhance your clinical supervision practice.

Objectives:

1. Identify your role as a supervisor is helping your supervisee learn to practice independently. 9:00 – 9:30 AM (30 minutes)

2. Explore the benefits of developing a formal learning plan for the supervision experience. 9:30– 10:00 AM (30 minutes)

3. 15 minute break

4. Discuss and explore common challenges within the supervision relationship and apply appropriate strategies to address them. 10:15 – 10:45 AM (30 minutes)

5. Explore strategies for clinical supervision that are useful in a group format. 10:45 – 11:15 (30 minutes)

6. Develop a process for addressing supervisee wellness and self-care. 11:15- 11:45 (30 minutes)

7. Review the ethical and legal aspects of your role as supervisor and how to best communicate and discuss this information within the supervisory relationship. 11:45 – 12:15 PM (30 minutes)
