Meditative Movement and Cultivating Joy

How can Joy Help Us In Our Daily Lives?

Join us on Tuesday, March 22nd during community hour (1:40pm) for an amazing workshop orchestrated by Aerial Dance company Fly-By-Night Dance Theater (FBN) exclusively for the John Jay Community!

Tune into yourself through breath and simple movements that allow you to let go of tension. As stress melts away, you feel better and experience the joys found in everyday life. Learn how cultivating joy helps us to be more productive, connected, and successful.

Here is some of what you can expect in this workshop:

Begin with watching the breath; Explore relaxation exercises for the shoulders and hips; Experience sitting and standing with ease; Try creative balancing; Reflect on integrating joy into everyday life

Due to COVID regulations and social distancing, space is very limited. Register now to reserve your spot! If you can no longer attend contact, ldicosmo@jjay.cuny.edu so that we can release your spot to someone else.

The workshop will take place in Haaren Hall in room 630. All attendees must have a valid John Jay ID, wear masks, and be fully vaccinated.
