Megan Stratford presents Berth

Description

Berth is one woman’s journey from darkness to light. The poems in this debut collection take the reader through the innocence of discovering nature alongside her father and through the turbulence of adolescence. Much like a river, Berth weaves the memories of the past with the hope for a great future. In nature we learn who we are and who we want to become.

From an early age, Megan Stratford was drawn to the outdoors. Berth is her poetic interpretation of nature—her fascination and appreciation of the natural world. Stratford has an associate’s degree from Normandale Community College. She was awarded the Patsy Lea Core in 2016.and placed 2nd in the 2022 Wyoming Writers’ category of free verse for her unique sense of style. Her work also appears in the North Dakota Quarterly, Shot Glass Journal, and Runestone. Stratford currently resides in Sheridan, Wyoming, where she is a certified clinical massage therapist.
