Like Water seamlessly blends electronic and acoustic instruments with transcendent vocals leaving listeners in a state of euphoria! This Baltimore native is changing the way people experience music. She allows the audience to watch as she masterfully layers unique sounds while looping them on the spot and leaving the crowd wanting more!

December 16- John Tyler

John Tyler is a 21-year-old artist, Founder of Love Groove Music Festival, and film scorer for Under Armour, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Visit Baltimore, and Maryland Public Television. He has been featured in Hulu Advertisements, BET Instagram Promotions, Baltimore Magazine, Afro Newspaper, Baltimore Sun, B’more Art, and Baltimore’s 92Q. At 16, John released his first mixtape and has since released two more. In 2019, John’s debut album “The Good Side of Things” dropped, setting a high standard for Baltimore music. This project highlights his abilities to merge multiple genres into one.

January 20- Eze Jackson

One of the most iconic, indispensable voices in Baltimore music is undoubtedly that of Eze Jackson. Over the last decade, the hip-hop frontman has been a dogged creative force for the local arts scene—putting on powerful performances as an MC through solo projects and his powder-keg alt-hip-hop group Soul Cannon, uplifting up-and-coming artists through the Bmore Beat Club rap series, constantly collaborating, and always speaking honestly about black inequality and empowerment. - from Baltimore Magazine

February 17- Rachel Winder

Rachel Winder, a native of Baltimore, is a saxophonist, flutist and vocalist in multiple genres of music. She studied saxophone at the Baltimore School for the Arts, Tanglewood Institute and the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University where she was awarded the Noble Levi Jolley, Sr. Jazz studies scholarship. She regularly performs with musicians in Baltimore, DC, NYC as well as is in the process of recording her debut album “Vignettes”. She features as the lead alto saxophonist in the New world Outreach Jazz Orchestra, Benny Russell Jazz Orchestra, David Murray Baltimore big band and many more. Rachel is dedicated to the education of young people and musicians and works closely with students to mentor and create more opportunities for the youth to become involved in the music scene in Baltimore.

March 17- Black Assets

Black Assets is a Mississippi born and Baltimore bred soul, funk and indie songstress whose performances feel like a plate of sweet potatoes, greens, macaroni and cheese and fried chicken...with a slice of yellow cake afterward. She is, the representation of eliminating self doubt and is the new era of Soul, Funk, Indie music. She delivers feeling, emotion, and a rare passion that is refreshing among young artist. April 21- Bobbi Rush

BobbiRush is an artist in design, writing and vocal performance. She lives in Baltimore, Maryland and is the Founder and Creative Director of TheBlueFaceProject, an experimental arts & publishing space. She’s toured and worked with local and mainstream acts such as Bebe & CeCe Winans, Charlie Wilson, Shabazz Palaces and more. She also began her solo work in Baltimore, New York, and New Orleans. Bobbi has self-published three books and runs an online blog. Bobbi is head designer of handmade clay jewelry project titled Water Is A Mothafucka. Bobbi is currently making space and seeing into new mediums.

May 19- Rae the Conjurer

Rae The Conjurer's purpose is to create experiences that connect people to their highest selves and their truest desires. The experiences they create conjure a liberated future through music, entrepreneurship, and community collaboration. Rae The Conjurer works as a multidimensional Musician, Composer, and Entrepreneur. They grew up performing in various vocal ensembles and musicals but found very little space for their Blackness within White performing arts spaces. They found a safe haven in jazz at the age of sixteen and began studying composition, arranging, and piano during their first two years of college, and began performing professionally throughout the DMV in 2016. As a Black Gender Transcendent person, Rae believes that it is their responsibility to use their gifts and daily work to create opportunities that support the holistic liberation of Black Queer People.

June 16- Aave Blue

Aave Blue is a Baltimore based artist and Drag Queen, created by David Waire. They use Drag, music and video to create various works of art. David started practicing drag and creating Aave in late 2019/early 2020 learning the art of makeup, hair, costuming/sewing. Now they perform around Baltimore at various venues; bars, brunches. They're performance style includes dancing (Hip Hop and Vogue), singing, lip syncing, sometimes with a comedic twist. Self-taught, David has been creating music and videos since 2009 under different monikers. When they started drag in 2019 they decided to use all their skills and put it under the Aave Blue drag name. They started doing drag officially in May 2021 when they had their first in person show at the Baltimore Eagle. Prior to that event Aave created mixtapes and TikTok content that caught the attention of thousands when they went viral through their "Oh so you doing the being" video. Aave's vision/mission statements is make the world a little less sad with a lot more drag. They hope to create drag events that appeal to all walks of life.

July 21 - Fola

Fola is a multi genre self taught singer and song writer. She took interest in making music early when she got her first guitar at age five. Raised in East Baltimore, she was exposed to a wide range of genres through her love for music and parents. Her influences are Santigold, no doubt, and Esperanza Spalding. Her recording career began with her debut song through her initial band “folaandthe3rdeye” in which she released a mix tape of 10 songs on SoundCloud in 2018. Fola is a self taught singer and instrumentalist with passion for expressing herself through multiple genres. With a mix of jazz rock folk and more she discusses spirituality love and growth. she is currently working on her debut ep that will be able on all streaming platforms!

August 18 - Rovo Monty

RoVo Monty is a performance artist from the DMV looking to take the underground LGBTQI music scene to the next level.  He combines a mash up of genres and sounds such as pop, dance, house, and alternative R&B. With his unique style, choreographed dances and gender fluid fashion RoVo creates an experience that is truly captivating to the audience. His music influence is drawn from legends such as Prince, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson and Beyonce. RoVo also takes note from new school artists that relate to his independent journey, especially Dawn Richard and MNEK. Since 2013 RoVo has been performing on main stages throughout the DMV including Gay Pride, Six Flags America and many other LGBTQ events. Most recently he has opened for artist such as Leikeli47, BbyMuva, and the winner of BOPA's Talent Showcase in 2019 for a chance to perform at Artscape. With the mixes of mainstream pop culture and an underground edge RoVo is sure to making any appearance unforgettable.

Baritone Rahzé Cheatham is praised as a “wonderfully sensitive” performer with “crystalline diction” and a strong foundation in music, theatre art, and dance applications. An emerging new music artist in both concert and operatic repertoire, notable roles include Brennan (Mallory) Blues Soloist/Street Singer (MASS), Hannah before (As One), Betto di Signa (Gianni Schicchi), L’Aubergiste (Chérubin), Bob (Old Maid and the Thief), and Bernardo (Westside Story), They have been featured in numerous projects, including opera scenes, performing as: Sam (Trouble in Tahiti); Dr. Pangloss (Candide); and Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro). For five years, Rahzé served as a Section Leader and soloist for the Sanctuary Choir of First and Franklin Presbyterian Church. Armed with the perspective of the intersection of mis- and underrepresented communities, Rahzé seeks to break through an otherwise homogenous music scene. In addition to performing original works, Rahzé enjoys learning and performing works from 1900-forward, by little-known and unknown composers and poets, especially artists of color and LBGTQ-identified artists.
