Movies Under the Stars: Soul

Description

Grab a blanket and come enjoy a movie in a neighborhood park or playground! This spring, NYC Parks and The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment will host family-friendly movie showings across the five boroughs.

"Joe Gardner is an average guy teaching music in middle school whose real dream is to be a jazz musician. When he finally earns the chance to perform onstage, he has an accident that leaves him in a near-death state. As his soul is scheduled to proceed to the afterlife, he discovers that his body is still not dead. He escapes to a before-life place where he tries to negotiate a deal so he could return to Earth—before it's too late."

Movies begin at dusk. This event is FREE and open to the public. In the event of heavy rain or extreme weather, the screening may be canceled. The decision to cancel the event will be made prior to the screening and will be prominently posted on our website.
