Please join us by walking, jogging or running our 5k. You can come in-person on the sand in Santa Monica or you can do this event virtually on 8/6 or 8/7. Every entry will give 3 people access to clean drinking water!
Do Hard Things, With People You Love, For a Cause Greater Than Yourself
This event is an opportunity to come together and help thousands of people get clean water. Every hour of every day 30 children are dying because they lack this basic necessity. Whether you are sharing your run online and tagging @nextdoorworldwide or coming in-person to Santa Monica we are going to have a great time while changing lives! We are super excited to share this day with all of you. Every $20 gives 1 person access to clean drinking water. If you aren’t able to participate but want to support the cause and help people in need there is an option, just donate as well. Every dollar makes a difference!
All 5K participants will receive a free t-shirt with the Next Door logo and motto, “Do Something Hard, With People You Love, For a Cause Greater Than Yourself” on the back. This will be a limited edition 5K shirt you can only get by participating!

Your commemorative t-shirt is a memento to honor the participation and efforts in support of NDWW and clean water. Register with us to participate in person or virtually.

Distance
5K Run/Walk on the sand by the water starting at Tower 30 with a turnaround at the Santa Monica Pier and a finish back at Lifeguard Tower 30. If you are running/walking virtually make sure you do 3.12 miles and post on social media #Nextdoor5K
Food & Other Activities
Energy bars and bananas will be provided to finishers-Games and beach festivities after the race. We will have water for sale. Every water bottle sold will give someone in a 3rd world country access to clean drinking water.
Join us for some cornhole, spike ball, volleyball and music!
Virtual Runners
Complete the 5K on 8/6 or 8/7 – Share your run on social media and tag us! We will reach out to you to get shirt size and shipping info after registration!
In-Person Participants
Please see map below for parking lots (outlined in red). Lifeguard tower 30 is on the border of Santa Monica and Venice in front of the Venice Waterfront restaurant. Join us for some celebration drinks after the race!
