Parents will learn to identify their dreams and goals for their children and their rights and responsibilities as parents of children with special needs under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Families will also gain the knowledge and strategies necessary to be equal partners in the special education process.

Parents and educators of children who are already receiving special education services and parents and educators of children who are having difficulty in school but may have not been determined to be eligible for special education services will benefit from this training.
