Description

On Friday, July 29th, PechaKucha Night CLE is thrilled to re-launch after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While every PKN CLE evening is exciting, this evening is particularly special as we relaunch and explore new ways to bring the creative community together. We are thrilled to present this event in partnership with moCa Cleveland and the Collective Arts Network (CAN) Triennial. The theme for the evening will build upon the theme of CAN Triennial – You Are Here.

"Doors" will open at 7:00 and presentations will begin at 8:20pm.

Since 2008, PKN CLE has been gathering audiences to share memorable experiences together meeting the creative people shaping our community. Japanese for “the sound of conversation,” this event features a succession of 10 speakers, each sharing new ideas about topics ranging from visual art, architecture, and technology to food, film, music, photography and furniture design through a vibrant 400 second long presentation (20 slides timed at 20 seconds each).

"This is moCa's third time collaborating with Pecha Kucha Cleveland, and we are particularly excited by CAN Triennial's 2022 theme, You Are Here that inspires this dynamic program. This notion reflects moCa's mission to be rooted in our community by uplifting the creativity of artists and producers in our city like those who will present at this special event!" -Megan Lykins Reich, Kohl Executive Director, moCa

"CAN is thrilled to be a partner in the return of Pecha Kucha, and especially that our Triennial theme--You Are Here--is the theme for the evening's program. It's about this place, this time, being here, now. We look forward to seeing and hearing these speakers, each of whom helps to make Cleveland the great place it is." -Michael Gill, Executive Director / Editor / Publisher, CAN Journal
