People say, "you did not see the signs, the flags, the neon lights????"

We often feel ashamed that we could not see the warning signs. But trust me, if people had signs that said "danger" on their forehead, we would not approach. There are institutional reasons, family dynamics, and even neuroscience that show us so many reasons we cannot see the red flags.
