• Students must either live or go to school in Columbia County to participate.

4-H Photography Club Level One - 2nd Monday of the Month

General registration opens on October 6th at 9:00 am. Registration will close on October 9th, however, this club has limited availability and typically fills within a few hours.

First Meeting: Monday, October 10th

Location: 4-H Extension Office

Time: 6:00 - 7:00 pm - Grades: 5-12 - Cost: $95 - Limit: 15

Students will learn all of the basics of lighting, focus, concepts, editing, and storage all while completing a yearly project. Students will have multiple opportunities to attend several outings throughout the year. Students will also complete several community-related projects. The club will work on fundraising for the yearly gala where students will auction off their pieces that they have poured a lot of work into throughout the year.

REQUIREMENTS: A laptop or tablet, a smartphone or compact/professional camera, and either a 32 GB memory card or 128 GB flash drive.

MEETING DATES: 10/10, 11/14, 12/12, 1/9, 2/13, 3/13, 4/10, 5/8 Dates are tentative and subject to change

GENERAL CLUB REFUND POLICY: If a child no longer wishes to participate in a club, all but 25% of the club's total fee will be refunded. Ex. Club fee is $100, $75 will be refunded. This partial refund is only available if requested within two weeks of the club's 2nd meeting. After that time, no refund will be given. All refunds are determined by the Columbia County 4-H agent.
