The 6th Hong Kong International Piano Competition and the Joy of Music Festival is taking place at the Esterhazy Palace in Eisenstadt from the 10th -27th October 2022, presented by the Chopin Society of Hong Kong in partnership with the mdw University of Music and of Performing Arts Vienna.

We are proud to present a spectacular array of musical events, including masterclasses, presentations, chamber performances and recitals by our esteemed jury members; there will be 32 events in total!

Events will be transmitted live from the Esterhazy Palace to the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall, in real-time and point-to-point using cutting-edge technology.

COMPETITION: Semi-Finals and Finals

The competition consists of:

- 15 solo piano recitals, with programs chosen by the 15 semifinalists themselves

- 6 Chamber performances, all with the Logos Chamber Group, the programs chosen individually by the six finalists. A compulsory piano and guitar duo will be played with Alvaro Pierri (guitar).

- 3 piano concerti played with the Competition Orchestra by the #1, #2 and 3# winner finalists from a given set of concerti.
