If you, as well as your family or base, are looking to experience the full retreat weekend, we encourage you to purchase a room(s) at the Embassy Suites Hotel (contact the hotel directly).

RETREAT HOSPITALITY, CHILDCARE, & COVID-19 PROTOCOL

As your host, the People's Institute Northwest plans to create an environment that is family-centered, fun, and festive. You can expect to have FREE lunch (and sometimes dinner) during the retreat weekend. We will also have a number of snacking options available. Our children (or young scholars) are essential to our organizing; therefore, we have arranged for professional and competent childcare workers to be in our community. NOTE: We also expect that parents and guardians will remain accountable for their children throughout the retreat weekend. Finally, we know that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact disproportionately B.I.POC and the most vulnerable communities; therefore, we are asking that people wear masks when in close proximity of others and practice preventive-care measures.

WOULD YOUR ORGANIZATION LIKE TO BECOME A CO-SPONSOR?

Although this retreat weekend is free, there are cost associated with food, venue space, lodging for community, air travel for facilitators, and compensation of service providers. If you are part of a larger non-profit organization, a governmental entity, and/or an educational institution that is interested in co-sponsoring this retreat weekend with the PINW, please contact a member of the coordinating team by emailing PINWevents@gmail.com by Monday, October 17, 2022.
