Pistol Presentation: Developing a Natural Point of Aim

Effective Pistol Presentation is achieved when the sights arrive on target where you intended and when you intended.

Pistol presentation is the most important part of a good draw stroke. Learning to develop a Natural Point of Aim with a handgun can greatly increase your consistency and fine tune the most crucial components of a clean draw stroke. This workshop focuses on assisting students in eliminating excessive movement and creating a more natural ability to present the firearm to your target.

  • Grip, and stance and how it relates to pistol presentation
  • Proper aiming and Trigger control
  • Natural Point of aim
  • Dry fire exercises
  • Live fire exercises
  • Accuracy vs. Precision
  • Individual Capabilities and Limitations

Pre-requisites:

Students must have a good understanding of safe gun handling and range etiquette. Students must have had prior training in pistol marksmanship (basic marksmanship course, private instruction, etc.). A semi-auto handgun. At least 100 rounds of ammunition. Minimum of 2 magazines. A quality holster (No serpas, or nylon holsters). Eye protection and ear protection. Note taking gear. Water.
