P&P Live! Darcie Little Badger | A SNAKE FALLS TO EARTH with Nick Thomas

Description

Nina, a 16-year-old Lipan Apache girl, wants to believe the fantastical stories of monsters and magic she hears from her elders. The stories tell of a race of animal-people who once roamed the earth, shifting between their true and false (humanoid) forms. Nina is led to believe they no longer exist, but clues revealed in her great-great-grandmother’s stories indicate otherwise. While Nina searches for the truth, on a different plane of existence called the “reflecting world," Oli is a cottonmouth person hoping to help his ill friend Ami, an ancient toad-person. He discovers that animal-people become sick when their species on earth is endangered. Nina and Oli’s universes collide when Oli and his two coyote friends come to Texas to try to save Ami’s species and end up helping Nina avert an earthly crisis. Darcie Little Badger weaves an epic story steeped in oral storytelling tradition that combines modern and ancient worlds in A Snake Falls to Earth.
