Chris Butler is the Staff Artist for the Griffith Observatory, but his work goes far beyond beautiful depictions of planets and galaxies. It is by turns whimsical, inspiring, and transcendent. Thomas Leppold creates Metal Men (and women) who represent alien saints, influenced by his decades as a therapist and his interest in cosmology, astronomy, mythology, and biology. The two visionary artists have an exhibiton in display at Collage in San Pedro, and at this event they will talk about their work and influences, participate in a moderated discussion, and answer questions from the audience.
