About the Incredible Educator/ Mama/ Founder:

Alicia Garcia, founder of Project Flourish, is a private chef, urban gardener, home economics educator, and mother of 4. Alicia is also certified for nature-based education and plant-based nutrition. Through Project Flourish, she offers classes, community gatherings, and a collection of provisions with an emphasis on nature, wellness, & environmental stewardship. Alicia’s vegan cooking series for kids is hosted seasonally at enrichment centers and greenspaces throughout South Florida.

Her hope is that through Project Flourish’s offering, children and in turn… families are inspired to connect, nourish their bodies / minds, and establish successful family rhythms. All the best conditions to thrive.

A leader in her community, Alicia also serves as Vice President for Terranaut Club, which provides Science and Nature explorations for underprivileged and underrepresented girls in South Florida. She is also co-founder of Good Natured Roots, Children’s Magazine, which celebrates BIPOC children and families exploring the natural world.
