Description

Plants are becoming more and more expensive! Save money and share plants with your friends and neighbors by learning how to propagate and grow your prized plants at home. Plant propagation is the process of creating new plants. The most common method of propagating plants is by taking stem cuttings. This workshop will teach you to properly take, plant, and raise stem cuttings into healthy vibrant plants. Many of the most popular shrubs are quite easy to root using this method.

Join us at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center on Monday, July 19 from 10:00 to 11:30 for this fun, interactive class. All participants will learn how to propagate plants using various techniques and construct and take home working stem cutting bins. A fee of $5 is required and will be applied toward the purchase of materials.

We also accept cash and check payments in addition to paying via credit card through Eventbrite. Please, make checks payable to NC State University. Checks and cash payments can be received at the Currituck County office, 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917, within 5 days of registration.
