Souldega Presents: Riddim Rise, is a nod to the 1970s, people from the Caribbean, primarily Jamaicans, who in the face of pervasive racism and discrimination, developed a dearth of places and communities to gather and enjoy their music and culture. During a time when many individuals have faced many exceptional hurdles, we find it essential to bring together our community to celebrate life and perseverance amidst a tumultuous political climate to let loose to the rhythms that brought a highly influential sub-culture together not long ago.
