Securing Your Wishes: Where There's a Will, There's a Way

Description

Leave 10 South Sound is excited to present an educational session on estate planning basics featuring local expert and attorney, Brianne Kampbell. This webinar is in observance of National Estate Planning Awareness Week, celebrated every year in October to encourage individuals to make their will or estate plan early on. It is estimated that approximately 67% of Americans have no estate plan currently in place.

Kampbell, with support from Leave 10 South Sound, will demystify the process of creating an estate plan and, most importantly, show you that every person - not just the most wealthy among us - can and should have a plan to secure their wishes.

She will also explain the process of planned giving, in which individuals can give back to their community in this process. We all have causes that are closest to our hearts, and we dream of doing more for our community. But making significant financial gifts during our lifetime may feel out of reach. With good estate planning, or through a simple beneficiary designation, our dreams of today can come true tomorrow.

In Pierce County alone, it’s estimated that $48.6 billion will be transferred between generations by 2030. Leaving 10% to charity could help meet critical needs in our community for generations to come. That would mean billions of dollars invested in the South Sound.

Now is the time to secure your wishes. Join us to begin creating a plan for the future of your loved ones, and for your community.

Who should attend?

Nonprofit professionals and their donors. Professional Advisors and their clients. Individuals thinking about their estate plans.
