On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, we now offer visitors an innovative, interactive experience using the augmented reality mobile app, 1776AR*. Raynham Hall’s story comes to life, as told by George Washington and four occupants of the Townsend home. The AR app places you in the center of the American Revolution, exploring life in Oyster Bay and those seeking freedom.

Tickets for self-guided tours will guarantee timed entry on the day of booking with slots available starting on the hour from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The 1776AR self-guided tour lasts approximately 45 minutes. Our museum shop closes at 5:00 p.m.

Please search for and download the “1776AR” app in the Apple or Google Play stores prior to arriving at the museum, or scan the code below with your phone. You are welcome to bring your own headphones/earbuds. We have a limited number of devices and over-the-ear headphones available for visitor use, and earbuds can be purchased in our museum shop for $2. There is no need to print your tickets as proof of purchase. We have your reservation waiting at the museum.

We reserve the right to deny entry to anyone not abiding by these guidelines to ensure the safety of our staff and other visitors. We continue to require face masks inside our education center and historic house.
