SheJumps x Girls Fight Back | Yes, I’m Hiking Solo

Description

Girls Fight Back is the world-renowned personal safety and self-defense company dedicated to teaching practical and empowering violence prevention skills to women around the world. They have reached over 1 million people since 2001! Nicole Snell took over the program in 2020, and is continuing the mission because she believes that when we are empowered to live our lives fearlessly and confidently there is no limit to what we can do!

As an avid solo hiker and outdoor enthusiast, Nicole saw the need to create a program that addressed the fears that women have expressed about hiking and exploring the outdoors solo. In this program, Yes, I'm Hiking Solo, Nicole offers simple and practical self-defense strategies to empower women of any age to feel more confident about their safety options, and their ability to be their own best protector during outdoor activities. Nicole views self-defense as a means to open up more opportunities and access in the outdoors.

We’ll cover skills like awareness, intuition, body language, boundary setting, verbal strategies and physical skills (the Badass Basics!). This class is interactive and participants will be encouraged to turn on their cameras, use their voices and there will be opportunities to practice the physical skills! Dress comfortably and make sure you have room to move!

The online event will be recorded. The recording will be emailed to all registrants and will be available for 7 days after the event.
