Social Hike: Vineyards of Oberlaa

Description

Come explore the vineyards and corn fields of Oberlaa, one of Vienna's most underrated areas. After conveniently meeting up at Vienna Main Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof), we'll take a 1-stop train ride and climb up the highest point of Löwygrube. From here you can, weather permitting, see as far as to the Lower Carpathians of Slovakia. After getting lost in the vineyards of nearby Goldberg, we then venture further downhill until reaching the tree-lined Liesing creek between Oberlaa and Unterlaa. Following the waves, we'll leave the official boundaries of Vienna and finally arrive at Kledering village. From there, a quick train ride will take us back to Vienna Main Station.

Underway we'll have some fun with social games, discussion prompts and local trivia.
