Description

Soulard is one of the most historically significant neighborhoods in St. Louis, and dates back to 1835. This will be a tour of the early urban developments in Soulard, which will showcase some of the first developments in the city outside of downtown. The tour will go across the highway into the LaSalle Park Neighborhood to see the other parts of the original Soulard plot, and will go through one of the oldest surviving wealthy neighborhoods in the city. Also featured on the tour will be a number of historic churches, including St. John Nepomuk, the oldest Czech parish in America. This tour will last roughly 2-3 hours, and will cost $18 per ticket.
