Step Up: Moving Racial Equity Forward Conference 2022

Description

Leadership Snohomish County is honored to host the 6th annual Step Up: Moving Racial Equity Forward Conference on April 29th, 2022.

About This Event:

Started in 2017, Step Up has grown into a large-scale conference with attendees from across the nation and overseas. Last year, over 900 people joined in on a day of fearless conversations examining real issues to activate meaningful change. The COVID-19 pandemic has not hindered the conference; rather, barriers to access have lessened, as more people are able to join the conversations and learn- no matter where they are in their racial equity journey.

Step Up 2022 is a virtual conference designed for participants to gain deeper understanding and new perspectives about racial equity and social justice in society and their workplace. Participants will leave with innovative and USEFUL tools on how to address systemic racism in their respective organizations and institutions that will be applicable across business, government, and non-profit sectors. The conference is intended to offer a variety of workshops for people with diverse interests and different levels of knowledge and experiences.

Adults and youth from all backgrounds and experiences are welcomed and encouraged to attend. All attendees will have access to recorded workshops sessions for 30 days after the event, as well as a virtual community where conversations can take place before and after the event.

Pricing:

There are four ticket options this year.

  • We have our standard $80 General Admission ticket, which supports the costs to have stipends for all our speakers.
  • We also have our $50 Discounted Admission ticket for students, educators, first responders, veterans, non-profits and LSC alumni.
  • This year, we have added a $125 'Stepping Up' ticket; this price includes your ticket and a donation to support removing barriers to access for STEP UP and LSC programs.
  • Finally, there is a $10 Access Admission ticket; we want to remove all barriers to access and provide attendees with full access to the event while still indicating their support of our and the speakers' work.

10% of ticket purchases will go towards LSC scholarships for our programs to leaders of color.

Groups of 10 or more are eligible for a 20% group discount off of the general admission ticket. Please email stepup@leadershipsc.org to inquire.

We also plan to include add-on options to purchase a Step Up t-shirt. This will be a whole new design compared to last year's. We plan to include this as soon as readily available!
