Summer Tamales Cooking Class

Description

Join us for a fun and lively morning in the Cheeni kitchen learning to make homemade Mexican tamales. In this hands-on class, Chef Ana Tapioca will share her tips for making masa, soaking husks, and making the tamale fillings and sauces. At the end of class we will have a “Tamalada” – a feast where the tamales are served with salsas, crema and a refreshing cabbage salad.

Class Menu:

• Agua de Jamaica - hibiscus iced tea

• Tamales with chicken in charred salsa verde

• Tamales Rajas con queso – poblano peppers with tomatoes, onions, and cheese

• Tamales de Elote, a buttery tamale made with sweet fresh corn
