Description

Summer workshops for kids!

The Downriver Council for the Arts' youth summer workshop series is designed to explore the exciting world of art and creativity through a wide range of multi-media activities. Students work with professional artists to produce unique and original works of art, explore diverse themes and art media, focus on the creative process, and develop their imagination and creativity - all while learning collaboration, experimentation, critical thinking, and problem solving.

Terrarium - (Ages 6-15)) (Katie Russell)

Use your imagination and build your own terrariums and then create miniature oven bake sculptures to go in them. Soil, rocks, plants and clay will be provided. Students need to bring their own clear glass or plastic container. A wide mouth quart mason jar would be okay but something slightly larger might be easier to work with. Students will go home with their filled terrariums and can pick up their baked sculptures the following week.

All materials provided, just dress to get creative!

Registration online only. We will not be taking registrations in person or over the phone at the DCA. Registrations close at midnight the day before class.
