As the weather cools down and Arizonans head back outside, we are partnering with Phoenix Children’s Hospital to offer a fun, family-friendly bicycle safety event for children and caregivers!

RSVP Today! The first 80 families who attend will receive a free children's bicycle helmet!

The event will teach children proper helmet usage and important lessons on traffic safety. Students are invited to bring their own bicycle or razor scooter to participate in the Bicycle Rodeo Safety Course. Bicycles and helmets will be provided for attendees who do not have them. 

Students and guardians will learn basic traffic and safety rules, and how to perform proper bicycle checks. Skills include:

• Checking that the seat, handlebars and reflectors are tight
• Ensure that tires are filled with the proper amount of air pressure
• Make sure the brakes are in good working condition
• Always wear your helmet and other safety gear
• Fit your helmet correctly and check the straps in the mirror
• Mapping out and familiarize yourself with the safest route
• Crossing at corners, using traffic signs, signals and cross walks
