The theme for July's SYCCIN will be community engagement with audiences, exploring topics such as:
- What opportunities are there for audience engagement?
- How does it help creative practice?
- What do creative practitioners need to do to engage audiences in the community?
- What examples of innovation are there?
- What new ways are audiences being engaged?
- What do local audiences need from cultural experiences in the region?
The session will include a keynote speaker slot as well as a panel discussion. Confirmed speakers include:
- Oliver Mantell, Director of Evidence & Insight at The Audience Agency.
- Anthony Baker, CEO at The Civic, Barnsley.
- Host: Pamela Johnson, independent arts consultant & fundraiser with an extensive background in audience engagement.
Please note that doors will open at 5.30pm for networking, with the session getting underway at 6pm.

This is a supportive, collaborative network which aims to collectively take your work to the next level.
The network events will give you the opportunity to:
- Share details about your own creative projects in a pitch session
- Hear about upcoming funding opportunities
- Meet industry peers to share insights, stories, ideas and collaborate on future projects
- Hear from a dynamic panel of industry professionals
- Plus - there’s always tasty food and drink on offer over a relaxed, informal networking session!
