Tea ceremony for kids and families in NYC - 親子でお茶会 -

Description

An authentic Japanese tea ceremony with kids in a tea room in NYC!

If you want your kids to have a special experience in the Summer, this is the best way to learn Japanese culture. You can enjoy the tea ceremony experience with your children.

Children over 9 years old can participate with parents/parent.

We can adjust the ceremony to suit children’s needs and satisfy adults’ expectations.

Our tea ceremony is the perfect opportunity to teach kids the importance of focus and being mindful of others, along with instilling a deep appreciation for arts and tradition.

This experience lasts approximately 60 minutes in total.

The first session:

the host will do a demonstration.

Kids can sit in the tea room as guests and eat sweets and drink tea.

The second session:

each of you can make tea with utensils.

Keiko Kitazawa, the teacher of the workshop, has over 10 years of experience to teach kids in the schools.

I and the friendly staff will be demonstrating and guiding the group on how to prepare the matcha tea. Kids are sure to enjoy the hands-on experience of making their own drink!

It’s not only enjoyable but also a comprehensive educational experience.

You will be given a background on the tea ceremony, its significance in Japanese culture, and the steps for preparation.
