The 2022 Historic East Towson Juneteenth Music Festival

Description

Inspired by the Historic East Towson Renaissance Movement, the festival is a celebration of the hertitage, history, and culture of this storied community. It is one of Baltimore County's oldest African American communities, founded in the 1850's by men, women, and children, formally enslaved at the nearby Hampton National Historic Site. Many of their descendants still live in the community today.

THIS IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT. ALL CHIDREN UNDER 12 YEARS OLD ARE FREE.

All proceeds go to the Northeast Towson Improvement Association to help preserve the cultural heritage of Historic East Towson and their advocacy for initiatives such as the "Road To Freedom."
