The Architecture of Charleston Walking Tour

Description

The architecture of Charleston is unlike any other city in America. Comprised of a variety of architectural styles over several centuries, the designs and details seen around the city tell deeper stories into the craftsmanship and history behind them. Your guide will identify the physical elements characteristic of various architectural styles, such as columns, piazzas, brickwork, and pediments, while discussing the merits of preservation and how it creates a unique sense of place for Charleston today.
