The Pelican Program is a hands-on disaster education program created by BRACE VISTA Youth Engagement Coordinator Dominique.

This program aims to teach kids aged 6-12 on how to best prepare for disasters through hands-on education. There will be four interactive stations at the event that teaches kids about food and water preparation, first aid and pet preparedness, creating a communication plan, and how to create a disaster kit. Kids will have the opportunity to learn how to use a NOAA radio, draw a shelter, and going through supplies that could be added to a disaster kit.
