The Future of Hypersonics and Aerospace Testing

Description

Christopher will be talking about the history of the development of a liquid oxygen/ liquid methane-sounding rocket and how he is utilizing lessons learned with Pluto to develop tomorrow’s in-flight hypersonic test beds.

A spirited entrepreneur networking hour will follow immediately after the presentation. Stay for snacks, drinks and networking!

Speaker Bio:

Christopher is the founder of Pluto Aerospace Inc. which is creating a reusable launch platform for hypersonic testing. Christopher has been launching rockets since the 4th grade when he was making them in his grandfather’s garage machine shop. While attending Purdue University, he created an undergraduate group focused on liquid bi-prop sounding rockets which quickly grew to over 400 members. After graduating, he took a role at the Zucrow Propulsion Labs as a staff engineer focused on sounding rockets. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, he took what he learned in his previous roles and began the development of economical and reusable sounding rockets with Pluto Aerospace.
