Join us this summer and fall for a FREE series on historical herbs and herbalism!

August 6th - 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. - Herb Gardening 101 - Learn the basics of herb gardening, historical methods to dry herbs and about the most popular herbs in the 19th century American herb garden!

August 13th - 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. - Herbal Tea Sampler - Learn about how herbs were (and still are) often used to make teas, the purported health benefits, and sample a few teas from herbs in our garden!

September 3rd - 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. - Herbs of the Historical Kitchen - Learn about the role herbs played in the 19th century kitchen and sample a historical recipe or two!

October 29th - 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. - Herbs of Death - Learn about the role of herbs in historical funeral practices and as agents of death!

All programs in the series are FREE of charge and presented in association with Americorps.
