Bonjour!

Join us for an online/virtual tour of the Louvre in Paris, France, considered by many to be the world's greatest art museum.

Our livestream program will be a review of several noteworthy highlights from the museum's amazing collection, including of course Winged Victory Venus de Milo, and the Mona Lisa, plus many more.

This program will focus on the international / non-French highlights in the collection. On a later date we'll focus on the French highlights.

Merci!

The Louvre, or the Louvre Museum (French: Musée du Louvre, is the world's second-largest art museum and a historic monument in Paris, France, and is best known for being the home of the Mona Lisa. A central landmark of the city, it is located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the city's 1st arrondissement (district or ward). Approximately 38,000 objects from prehistory to the 21st century are exhibited over an area of 72,735 square meters (782,910 square feet). The Louvre topped the list of most-visited art museums in the world in 2020.

The Musée du Louvre contains more than 380,000 objects and displays 35,000 works of art in eight curatorial departments with more than 60,600 square metres (652,000 sq ft) dedicated to the permanent collection. The Louvre exhibits sculptures, objets d'art, paintings, drawings, and archaeological finds. It is the world's most visited museum, averaging 15,000 visitors per day, 65 percent of whom are foreign tourists.
