What will happen in a workshop?

In this 4-hour session, our instructors will set up your tufting station, help you choose yarn for your project, and teach the class how to use the tufting equipment. After applying carpet adhesives, We will guide you through all gluing, trimming, and backing processes. Guided by their expertise, you will create a stunning and unique tufted item from start to finish!

STEP 1

Upon arrival, tufting station (frame, primary cloth, AK-II tufting gun, threader) has already been set up for you!:) We have also sourced various beautiful yarns of different textures/colors for you to choose from in advance. Yayy!

STEP 2

For your choice of design, you are welcome to draw on the cloth directly. Go crazy, Picasso;)

We also offer the projectors for you so that you can easily trace the outline onto the fabric by projecting any selected designs or photos.

Don't worry!

Your private instructor will also assist you in choosing the best colors and tufting techniques needed.

STEP 3

The most important part, we will walk you through all tufting 101.

Including the introduction on what tufting is, how to use tufting guns, how to cut/loop pile looks, and everything you need to notice along with all other tips that will help you create a beautiful rug/mirror!

STEP 4

Detail matters! After initial tufting is completed, carpet adhesives will be applied. Our instructors will guide you through all gluing, trimming, and backing processes.

You will get to learn how to carve the rugs by using different tools to create the fancy 3-D effect, how to make the product cleaner, and tricks for your unique "soft sculpture" in the end.
