Vehicle Safety Check

Description

Aloha! Thank you for considering Five-0 Motors for your next Hawaii State Safety Check. We are currently offering inspections for passenger cars, trucks, vans and trailers. We are not doing motorcycles or mopeds at this time.

Inspections are done by appointment, and are available for all authorized base patrons aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Documents required are:

- Valid DOD Identification.

- Valid Hawaii No-Fault Insurance Card. This can be the watermarked original sent from the insurance provider, or an ID card viewed on your phone through the company's application. Non-watermarked paper copies and screenshots are not acceptable. A Safety Check cannot be performed without this as proof of insurance.

- Vehicle Registration paperwork. Only vehicles with a valid State of Hawaii Registration or an Out of State Permit will pass inspection. Expired and out of state registration will be inspected but will fail. This is a normal part of the registration process.

- Modified vehicles no longer require a Vehicle Reconstruction permit. The safety and equipment standards established by law do still apply. Please research these requirements prior to booking your appointment.

Please note that the appointment is for 1 vehicle inspection. We ask that you book 1 appointment per vehicle.

Eventbrite lists this as a "free" event. This is because we are not allowed to collect payment prior to performing the inspection. Please note that the inspection fee is $25 for vehicles and $17 for trailers. This fee will be collected after the inspection is performed.

The inspection process usually takes 20-30 minutes. Please arrive at the beginning of your appointment time. Our schedule can be very busy. We may not be able to accommodate your appointment if you arrive over 10 minutes after your start time.
