Meditation:

Learn to Travel with the mind. We use mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clarity. Benefits of guided meditation can include lower levels of stress, reducing asthmatic episodes, physical pain, insomnia, episodic anger, negative or irrational thinking, and anxiety, as well as improving coping skills, focus, and a general feeling of well-being.

Chakra Balancing:

Chakra simply means “wheel” and refers to energy points in our body. They are thought to be spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned, as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic body that affect our emotional and physical well-being. To understand the energetic body, we will explore how to heal, realign and balance our energy centers through yoga, meditation, chakra cleansing, certain types of bodywork, and sound.

Breathwork:

We will explore various methods of breath control that give rise to altered states of consciousness, and to have an effect on physical and mental well-being. Derived from various spiritual and pre-scientific traditions from around the world.

Medicine Card Reading:

Native people used different symbols to connect between spirit and matter. They didn’t use cards but real things like an Eagle feather, rock and bones. Observing the signs help them learn about themselves and choose the right path in life. In this practice, the concept of the world is reflected in us and we reflect into the world guiding us to learn different abilities from the animals. On each Medicine Card, there is an animal representing the characteristics of that animal as interpreted by the natives as they observed it in the wild. Animal spirit has different abilities and qualities that allow us to get therapeutic assistance so we can increase our personal skills.

YOUR TEACHER:

Shauna J. is a Creative Polymath that provides an array of Self Development, Self Actualization & Healing Experiences. After completing a "formal education" in western based Health Care & Fitness, Shauna began a journey of self exploration seeking holistic healing modalities with Kemetic, West African, Indigenous (Turtle Island) & Latin American origins. On this journey she has explored & become versed in Meditation, Sacred Movement (yoga/dance/moving meditation), Tantra, Plant & Herbal Medicine, Sound Therapy, Energetic Alchemy, Reiki, Chakra Balancing & Kemetic/Indigenous Principles of Nature & Spirituality. As a health, wellness & healing guide over the years, Shauna witnessed the reoccurring need to address sexual related trauma, intimacy & sexuality as a core part of the healing journey.
