Virtual Stargazing - Sagittarius (the Galactic Center)

Description

This virtual stargazing party will feature various targets that can be observed near the constellation Sagittarius: star clusters, nebulae, and star-forming regions; what are they and how did they form? Come join us to observe these objects live through telescopes! The targets we will observe include:

  • M16 (Eagle Nubula)
  • M22 (globular cluster)
  • M17 (Omega/Swan Nebula)
  • M20 (Trifid Nebula)

This event is kid- and family-friendly! We will have trivia questions throughout the event and a raffle at the end.

This virtual event is free and open to the public. The event URL can be found at the bottom of the EventBrite registration confirmation email.
