Volunteer Work Days at Brooklyn Peace Center

Description

Brooklyn Peace Center (BPC) and their partners have a 2-3 day volunteer opportunity on March 17-19, 2022 for individuals and/or groups (age 18 and up) who are skilled in carpentry, painting, plumbing and floor installation.

Brooklyn Peace Center will serve as a hub for agencies that promote peace, equip community residents and provide needed services to the community. These workdays will support the opening of the first Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Thrift shop network in NYC, Anabaptist Treasure Network. Volunteers will also assist with the renovation of office and meeting space for the New York Mennonite Immigration Program and Radical Living, both MCC partners. Groups and individuals should be age 18 and up and skilled in carpentry, painting, plumbing and/or floor installation.

Each participant must register separately for this opportunity.

In-person activities are constantly changing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For details and up-to-date information, stay tuned to mcc.org/volunteer-bpc.
