Walk for Vietnam – Support and Raise Awareness of COVID-19 Devastating Effects

You are cordially invited to participate in the WALK in support and raise awareness of the devastating effects of COVID-19 in Vietnam. The WALK is scheduled for Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Mile Square Park Tennis Center, 16400 Brookhurst Street, Fountain Valley, CA 92708 in partnership with the City of Fountain Valley, Fountain Valley Rotary and Project Oasis Compati.

Based on the data provided by CDC & WHO, Vietnam now has 550,996 confirmed cases, 13,701 COVID-19 related deaths, and an average of 12,700 new infections each day. Neighborhoods are being barricaded and residents are forbidden to leave their homes. Those who are not suffering from illness are suffering from starvation, a perilous reality that intensifies by the hour.

To show our love and support for the people of Vietnam, the City of Fountain Valley will host a “Walk for Vietnam” to raise funds and bring awareness. The goal is to provide local 501©(3) nonprofits with the support they need to continue their work in Vietnam to provide basic needs to those who are most adversely affected by this pandemic. Funds raised from the WALK will manage and disburse by the Rotary Charitable Association to provide relief to the city’s poorest residents now facing acute food insecurity in Vietnam.

Come out and support this great cause! A kind gesture in time of need will make a huge difference.
