WEBINAR: Introduction to Exporting - Session 2 (5pm-6pm)

Description

Learn how to assess your company’s readiness to export and take advantage of no-cost export assistance available in Alabama. This two-part workshop will introduce participants to the world of exporting and provide an overview of the steps involved to sell in overseas markets. The program will help you determine if exporting is something for your company to pursue. Following the session, interested participants may register for one-on-one advising for additional information and assistance.

Speakers:

Robert Stackpole is Director of the Alabama office of the U.S. Commercial Service in Birmingham. The Commercial Service, part of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, has a global network of experienced trade professionals in 100 U.S. offices and in 70 U.S. Embassies and Consulates overseas. It offers expertise and services to help U.S. companies connect with business opportunities and increase their bottom line through exporting.

Carolyn Turner is Senior International Trade Specialist with the Alabama International Trade Center (AITC) at The University of Alabama. The AITC, established in 1979, provides export research, training, and financing services for small businesses. Carolyn has over 15 years of experience in trade consulting and specializes in export compliance. She previously worked in international logistics and is a U.S. Licensed Customs Broker.

This program is presented in cooperation with Export Alabama - Alabama Department of Commerce, the U.S. Commercial Service, and the Alabama International Trade Center at The University of Alabama. The AITC is a member of the Alabama Small Business Development Center. Funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
