Join a group of amateur botanists who look for and identify native plants on the island. Each walk visits a different location on Sanibel, lasts for two hours, and is guided by a knowledgeable leader. Detailed information about the upcoming walk is listed below.

In accordance with SCCF policy, we will institute COVID guidelines as follows:

1) Registration is required, and the group size will be limited to 20 participants total.

2) Due to the current COVID surge, masks will be required on the walk and during carpooling.

3) Social distancing will be practiced.

February 21st, Periwinkle Preserve walk

Weeds n’ Seeds is looking forward to exploring the interesting trails of Periwinkle Preserve this week. Join us as we learn about some of our favorite Florida plants. We will meet at the entrance gazebo, east of Martha’s Lane on Periwinkle Way. Bike racks are available and we have permission to park at the Community Church, so you can walk along the bike path to our meeting spot.
